There's a PKMN Breeder that will fight you as soon as you enter, and he has a Tranquill L24 and a Liepard L24. There's an Ultra Ball in the stump right next to him. A little north is a PKMN Ranger hiding, who uses a Trubbish L26. She gives you a Pecha Berry after you beat her.

In the fields to the north, you'll find yet another PKMN Ranger, this one using an Emolga L26. He'll give you aCheri Berry after you beat him. In the northeast part of this clearing is a Net Ball, while there is a valuableLeaf Stone hiding in the southwest corner of the clearing (use the Dowsing MCHN to find it!). That's great, because you can use that to evolve yourPansage immediately, should you desire. (Note: if you leave your Dowsing MCHN on, it'll still pick up an item in the area, but it's on top of a waterfall and you won't be able to get it yet.)
Now talk to the Backpacker just to the north of that Leaf Stone. He'll say some stuff and then talk about Zoroark, asking you a question. Just answer Yes and he'll continue talking, then will give you TM95 (Snarl), a 55 power Special-based Dark-type attack that always lowers the foe's Special Attack by one stage. It's not very powerful, but it's nearly twice as strong as the similar Struggle Bug, and at this stage in the game, is not too shabby of a Dark-type attack. Afterwards, he'll walk away, and then, well... yeah, I won't spoil it. Good stuff.
There's also a Hidden Grotto in the northern part of the forest. You'll find out more about Hidden Grottoes on Route 5 or on the Marriland Wiki, but here's a list of the Pokemon you can find there for good reference:
