Before you arrive in the actual Desert Resort, you have to first pass through the outside area, which has some of the Pokemon available in the Desert Resort anyway. There's literally nothing that exciting leading up to it, so you should have no difficulty getting to the gate leading into the actual desert.

Now you're in the real Desert Resort! One of the first things you should do is fight the Nurse directly above the entrance. She has just has a Cleffa L22, making her very easy to take out, but she'll reward you by healing your Pokemon after the battle and will do this each time you talk to her. The desert is huge and will take a toll on your Pokemon, so be sure to stop by and talk to her whenever you're weary.
To the north of the Nurse is a PKMN Ranger, who uses a Magby L23. She'll give you a Rawst Berry after beating her. To the north of her and a little to the right is a Yellow Shard sitting out in the open. You can talk to the guy with shades in the sand pit and he'll give you some Soft Sand (how generous!), which boosts the power of the bearer's Ground-type attacks by 20%. Keep going far north of him and you'll eventually find a Super Repel hidden in the sand (use your Dowsing MCHN to help locate it and any other hidden items in the desert).

Head just a bit to the west and you'll find the old Relic Castle as well as a Heart Scale north of it. Right nearby the entrance to the Relic Castle is a Psychic, using a Woobat L22 and a Yamask L22. There's also a hidden Ground Gem nearby.

There's a lot of desert to cover, so we'll do it in strips. Head south for a little while until you find a hidden Star Piece in the sands (use that Dowsing MCHN!). Just further south of that is another PKMN Ranger, this one using a Darumaka L23. Beat him and he'll give you a Rawst Berry.

Just to the west of him is a Stardust hidden in the sand. Pick that up, then head north until you find a Backpacker. She uses a Sandshrew L22 and that's it. There's a hidden Blue Shard right by her, while there's another not-so-hidden Blue Shard just to the west of her.

Go north of her and then over to the west of the Relic Castle (if you see it again) to find another Backpacker. He has a Sandile L22. There's a hidden Red Shard right in the middle of his track. North of that Backpacker is a PKMN Ranger, although this one doesn't battle you; instead, he gives you the Funfest Mission "Treasure Hunt!" in White 2, or "Get a lot of Money" (lol translation) in Black 2.

Head over to the west of that PKMN Ranger to fight a Psychic using a Munna L23. Just to the west of her, past the castle thing, is a Nugget. Very handy! It can be sold for a lot of money. Further west is the edge of the Desert Resort. Go on over there and hug the edge until you get to a small pathway to the west and a Backpacker and a Red Shard to the east. The Backpacker uses a Dwebble L22. Head inside the crevice just south of him and you'll find yet another Backpacker inside, this one using a Drilbur L22 instead. In the southwest corner of this little area you can find a Max Ether, but most importantly, head over to the southeast corner and, using your Dowsing MCHN, you can find a hidden Fire Stone sitting in the corner. Awesome! You can use this to evolve your Growlithe or Eevee.

Finally, go ahead and exit the little area there from the eastern exit (probably where you came in from), then hug the southern wall of the desert to find a Green Shard sitting out in the open.

Well, that should be all there is to do in the Desert Resort. If you haven't already checked out the Relic Castle, maybe now would be a good time to do that (after healing up your Pokemon first!), but otherwise go on over to the Join Avenue in order to make your way to Nimbasa City!
